Your Story Matters

Personal stories can help lawmakers understand the issues Georgians face and how to overcome them. By sharing your story with us, we can ensure that the topics we research always focus on the needs of real people. For example, write about any issues that you have faced: navigating Medicaid, finding a job that pays necessary bills, helping your child succeed in a school that lacks funding, or anything that prevents you from thriving in the state of Georgia is helpful information for us. We want to help make Georgia a place where all people thrive.

Critical SNAP Updates

The Georgia Department of Human Services has clarified that SNAP recipients can use their EBT card with any unspent SNAP benefits in November.

DHS states: “Households may continue to redeem benefits issued to their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card prior to Nov. 1, 2025, at any SNAP authorized retailer.”

However, as DHS reported before, the November SNAP benefits will be suspended until federal funds are available.
