Director of Development
Kevin Amaya
Kevin Amaya is GBPI’s Director of Development, overseeing GBPI’s entire fundraising program and developing and implementing strategies for organizational growth. He manages GBPI’s relationships with philanthropic foundations, directs fundraising efforts with individuals and works closely with the board of directors on fundraising outreach.
Kevin has nearly a decade of experience in non-profits and fundraising. Kevin’s previous work includes managing a political campaign, owning a small business and serving as a program officer for the Washington Office on Latin America where he oversaw the Central America Monitor.
Kevin began his career assisting with the opening of KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) in Georgia, an organization providing pro-bono legal representation to unaccompanied children entering the United States. He also worked as Associate Director of LaAmistad, a direct service agency serving Latino students and their families in Metro Atlanta. Kevin Amaya is a graduate of Kennesaw State University and holds a bachelor’s in International Affairs with a minor in Latin American Studies.
