College Affordability and Completion Day at the Capitol

The Georgia Budget and Policy Institute and the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Atlanta will host its first College Affordability and Completion day at the state capitol on Monday, February 24, 2020, from 7:45 – 10 a.m. in the State Capitol, Room 230. (Note: You must bring an ID to enter the Capitol).

For over 100 years, historically Black fraternities and sororities have worked to increase college access across the country. We are excited to partner with these organizations to advocate for solutions that would improve the affordability of and access to colleges and universities in Georgia.

The event is FREE and features breakfast. Attendees will:

  • Hear the latest high-level data on college affordability and completion in Georgia
  • Connect with fellow students and alumni
  • Send a strong message to legislators that Georgians care about college affordability and completion
  • Participate in an interactive activity to lift up common themes around college experiences and motivations to inform lawmakers’ priorities

GBPI Has New Data on Federal Policy

GBPI is committed to tracking how the state of Georgia raises and spends fiscal resources.
