Insights 2025: A Roadmap to Opportunity

January 24, 2025 | 8:30 am | Atlanta, Georgia | More details to come

After the election, policy work takes center stage… We’re ready.

At Insights 2025 GBPI will provide its annual deep dive into both the amended current year state budget and the new fiscal year state budgets. This year it’s right at the beginning of the two-year Georgia legislative cycle. We will map the road ahead using the most up-to-date analysis on just-released state budget proposals and an in-depth look at the policies impacting everyday Georgians.

This is an unprecedented moment in Georgia’s history with a growing surplus, a crumbling healthcare infrastructure and an education funding formula that has not been update since the 80’s.

Now is the time for you to begin or accelerate your advocacy journey. Now is the time for all of us to push harder to advance economic opportunities for all Georgians.

In addition to our budget overviews, we are also thinking about the potential impact of changes in federal funding. Currently $19 billion comes to Georgia in federal funding to support services like health care, education and transportation.

This will be GBPI’s 19th annual policy conference as we wrap up our 20th anniversary year. In 2025 and every year, Insights attracts hundreds of attendees, like you, who are gifted, brave and passionate about Georgia policy issues. Together, we can chart the course for a more equitable Georgia.

If you have questions about the conference or the benefits of being a sponsor, please reach out to GBPI’s VP of Finance and Operations, Jessica Woods at JWoods@gbpi.org.

Checks for sponsorship can be mailed to 50 Hurt Plaza SE, Suite 720 Atlanta, Georgia 30303

GBPI Has New Data on Federal Policy

GBPI is committed to tracking how the state of Georgia raises and spends fiscal resources. As the federal government has promised and provided some of these, cuts to programs and funding on the federal level could have deep and lasting impacts on Georgians and on the state’s ability to meet the needs of all its residents.
